How to listen online and FAQs

You can listen to Awesome Radio online by opening the media player. From time to time we come across some common listening problems, so we've tried our best to troubleshoot them for you below:

If you're a Windows user, you'll need:
|
- Windows Internet Explorer 7 or above or,
- Mozilla Firefox 14.0 or above or,
- Apple Safari 5 or,
- Google Chrome
|
|
If you have a Mac, you'll need:
|
- Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or above or,
- Apple Safari 3.0
|
|
For all users, if you are at work, you may be behind a firewall or have streaming blocked. Contact your work's IT department to see if streaming is blocked. |
|
You will also need to ensure Javascript and Java are enabled in your browser settings. |
|
If all else fails, try a reboot of either your browser or PC. If you are still having problems listening to our live stream, drop us an e-mail via our contact page with a detailed description of the problem plus your computer operating system (ie. Windows XP etc) and we'll get onto it. |

Still experiencing problems? These tips may help:

Try clearing your browser's temporary internet files to ensure you have the most up to date media player. If you are at work, you may be behind a firewall or have streaming blocked. Contact your work's IT department to see if streaming is blocked. |

Make you have allowed plug-in access. The main one is 'Windows Media 6.4 Player Shim from Micosoft Corporation' |

Having a plug-in issue with Firefox. If you goto http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/play-windows-media-files-in-firefox and follow the instructions on this page it will resolve the problem. |

You may experience a short delay when the audio player is launched no more than about 5 seconds. If you don't hear anything after this time, make sure your volume is turned up and your speakers are on and working. |
