Forest Sun has released his 8th album called "Just Begun" much to the pure delight of longtime fans. For many just hearing Forest Sun's work for the first time, there is a collective and audible intake of air. His album "Just Begun" is leaving an indelible mark on all who hear it. This is a stunning offering of 12 impressive tracks, strong in vision and songwriting skills. The lyrics on each song, written with care and keen perception. A song that leads the listener line by line is, after all, the ultimate goal. This is one of Forest Sun's unique talents as a songwriter and story weaver. "Just Begun" is a celebration of how to do an album with brilliance.

For many, Forest Sun's sexy vocals can make any song shine and does so with finesse`. With longtime tour partner Ingrid Serban, along with Fen Ikner, Jesse Aycock and Jared Tyler's exceptional back up vocals framing Forest Sun's lead vocals, you can't go wrong. Add that to some of the most wonderful orchestration and instrumentation to be found on one album, you have a sure winner.

Forest Sun's - "Just Begun" ticks all the boxes one by one. The mixing, mastering, engineering and recording are sublime. They have managed to create the perfect sound without interfering with Forest Sun's pure vocals. This album is smooth. The track lineup slides you from song to song with ease and most importantly, no jerky jumps. Gorgeous flow. Well done! I have already heard from many listeners requesting songs from Forest Sun's new album, so I have an idea of the impact it is having worldwide. With so many stand alone tracks on one album it makes my job difficult to pull three tracks aside to highlight. But here goes anyway.

1 - Just Begun [Title Track]
This is a feel good groove with a great hook. Forest Sun's strong sexy vocal style marries beautifully with lyrics that makes an impression in your heart. The backup vocals frame Forest's voice perfectly. The instrumentation work is exceptional on Just Begun. And babies, listen to the picking on that guitar! Love it! This song takes on a life of its own and soars!

2 - The Sky Is Smiling
Lordy, wait till you hear this groove! It has a bluesy feel that will leave you breathless. Again the instrumentation is off the wall good, highlighting the piano and guitar, leaving you satisfied. Forest Sun nails the vocals with an addictive rich tone. This track takes me back to a purer and more innocent songwriting style. Instantly a favorite with all who hear it.  Simply Brilliant!!

3 - Untethered Heart
This track is a toe tappin', head boppin' groove that will have you singing along in seconds. Brilliant orchestration, giving a light airy groove. Exceptional hook. Forest Sun nails the vocals with his rich vocal instrument. Man this is nicely done. Prepare for goose pimples up your arms ladies. Great lyrics paint the story in your mind and backup vocals lift up the piece overall making it shine. Once again Forest shows what he does best. Lordy!

I have to say to choose only three tracks from this stellar album is an impossibility and quite unfair. Each and every track on Forest Sun's latest album, "Just Begun" is a stand alone success. This album is a polished, work of the highest level. You can grab this album at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/forestsun7 , Christmas is coming and what a treat this would be under the tree. Congratulations Forest Sun!!
